The guest house has 23 rooms, primarily single rooms; the guest house does, however, offer one double room with a spare room, and two rooms with a double sleeper sofa. All rooms have en-suite bathroom and toilet. The kitchens, the dining room and the TV/radio lounges are common facilities. The guest house is mainly intended for Risø’s visitors and employees from abroad. The guest house also welcomes Danish guests who need accommodation in connection with courses, symposia, study tours or traineeships at Risø. Risø Hostel The hostel has five rooms, and its common facilities include two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a TV lounge. The hostel primarily houses guests who will be staying at Risø for a long period of time. Guest houses For visiting researchers and their families who will be staying at Risø for a long period of time, Risø offers five fully furnished guest houses, including crockery and cutlery and bedclothes/linen. In addition, the houses have radio and satellite TV facilities and telephone. There is no subscription charge and guests will be billed for their outgoing telephone calls only in addition to any room rent. Risø will also maintain the guest house garden. Svaleholm Svaleholm is an old farm quite near Risø. After thorough renovation, Svaleholm is now ready to receive guests. All rooms have network connections. Svaleholm’s common facilities include a kitchen, 4 bathrooms and a TV lounge. Also, there is a coin-operated telephone with the telephone number 4677 4685.
