Conference on biomass and local energy production

Risø DTU, VE-Net and DS Trade and Industry are holding a biomass conference on 30 April.

Through the EU Denmark has committed itself to making at least 10 per cent of the total consumption of petrol and diesel for transport up of biofuels by 2020. This can become possible by cultivating Danish earth; however, in order for this to happen we must very soon take steps at a national and local level that can lead to the desired production.

At the conference there will be presentations of what we know today about biomass and biofuel, of Denmark’s potential for producing biofuels, of the consequences of having energy production in Denmark and of which specific initiatives need to be taken in order to advance the desired development.

The conference connects scientists who think out loud with people that know Danish agriculture from within. All presentations are in Danish.

The intention is that the conference leads to action by pointing out possible ways for an increased Danish production of biofuels – and by pointing out key figures who can and want to continue working towards this goal.

See the invitation to the conference.

”Denmark’s potential for crop-based biofuel production in the year 2020”.
