Risø DTU's contribution to IPCCs Assessment Reports
Every sixt year IPCC publishes scientific report with overall assessments reports within the areas of the three working groups of IPCC: Climate system, climate impacts and reduction of GHGs (WGI, WGII og WGIII).
The three reports that together represents the 4. Assessment Report (AR4) was published in 2007, and the final synthesis report for the summit on Bali was released 17 November 2007.
Risø DTU's contribution to the report from WGIII ”Climate Change 2007 – Mitigation”:
Head of programme Kirsten Halsnæs, tel +45 4677 5112, private +45 4465 8312, was lead author on one of the 13 chapters. Furthermore, Kirsten Halsnæs is one of the authors of the synthesis report.
Senior scientist Jørgen Fenhann, tel +45 4677 5105, was one of the authors on the thapter on energy supply.
Head of division Hans Larsen, tel +45 4677 5101, private +45 4636 5663, mobile +45 2285 8640, was a member of the Bureau on a shared European seat together with a german representive. In the start of the period Head of Centre John Christensen, tel 4677 5130, UNEP Risø Centre, held the seat.
Researchers from Risø DTU (Kirsten Halsnæs, John Christensen and others) contributed furthermore to the 2. og 3. assessment report that was released in 1995 og 2001. |
