HAWCStab

HAWCStab is a tool for computing the natural frequencies, modal damping and mode shapes of a three-bladed wind turbine at any operation condition with, or without the unsteady aerodynamic forces.

The inclusion of the aerodynamic forces enables stability analysis for predicting negative damped aeroelastic modes of the turbine, e.g. in the case of stall-induced vibrations, or flutter.
