CHEMSIMUL

CHEMSIMUL is a computer program for simulation of chemical kinetics. It can model complex reactions, in particular radiolytic processes with pulse trains, or radiolysis from nuclear waste. It contains a translator module and a module for solving the resulting coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations. There is a module for verifying the mass balance. Heterogeneous processes can be simulated by exchange equations.

Dispersion models

Numerical dispersion models is a useful planning tool when obnoxious or hazardous emmissions to the atmosphere are foreseen. These models will help decision makers to evaluate the environmental impact and risk of new installations - or, in case of emergency, the need for evacuation.

HAWCStab

HAWCStab is a tool for computing the natural frequencies, modal damping and mode shapes of a three-bladed wind turbine at any operation condition with, or without the unsteady aerodynamic forces.

High Performance Technical Computing

The IT Service Department at Risø DTU maintains a high performance scientific and technical computing environment to support the requirements of the research scientists at Risø. The present compute service is dominated by Linux compute clusters. These computer clusters can provide large computing power at relatively low costs.

PALSfit

PALSfit is a computer program for analysing spectra that are measured by positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS). PALSfit is based on the well tested PATFIT program, which has been used extensively by the positron annihilation community. Taking advantage of the windows interface, a number of new user friendly facilities have been incorporated, in particular graphics displays.

Rodeo – Risø Online Database of Environmental Observations

Rodeo is a database system used for storing and displaying data from measurement campaigns or long term meteorological measurements carried out in the Wind Energy Division.

Selected infrared spectra

Here you will find infrared spectra of selected compounds. These spectra can be downloaded free of charge. The spectra can be used for quick identification of the molecular content in measured spectra and for educational purposes.

WAsP Engineering software

WAsP Engineering is a PC program for the estimation of extreme wind speeds and wind shears, wind profiles, and turbulence in complex (and simple) terrain.

WAsP software

WAsP is a PC program for the analysis of wind data as well as for wind atlas generation, wind resource assessment, wind resource mapping, and siting of wind turbines and wind farms. The program, which is continually updated by the Wind Energy Division, is regarded as the industry standard.

Wind Atlas

The Wind Energy Division is marketing three wind atlases: the European Wind Atlas, the Russian Wind Atlas, and Wind Atlas for Egypt.

Wind maps from satellite

Radar data from the European satellite Envisat are downloaded at Risø DTU within a few hours of the data acquisition. Offshore wind fields are retrieved from the data. This archive contains all of our processed wind maps. Images for the current month are displayed in the left frame. Older images are found through the links below.
