Partners and Sponsors

The work at Risø is done in collaboration with a number of Danish and international partners. The cornerstone of the Danish SOFC development is the partnership between Risø and the Danish company Topsoe Fuel Cell, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the catalyst and systems company Haldor Topsøe A/S. In addition we have projects together with several Danish universities, e.g. The Danish Technical University, Aalborg University and The University of Sourthern Denmark.

In Europe we collaborate with research instititutions such as Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany, ECN in The Netherlands and Imperial College in Great Britain. We have or have had collaborations with a number of companies, e.g. Rolls Royce, Gaz de France, Sulzer Hexis and IRD Fuel Cells A/S.

The Danish SOFC development at Risø is supported financially by Risø itself and by Topsoe Fuel Cell A/S, and in addition receives substantial support from the Danish electricity transmission system operator Energinet.dk as part of the so-called PSO Programme. Furthermore we participate in projects funded by the Danish Research Councils and the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation, and in European Union projects under the Fifth and Sixth Framework Programmes.
