Flue gas cleaning

The flue gas of power plants can be cleaned by injecting plasma generated chemically active species into the flue gas.

The flue gas of power plants can be cleaned by injecting plasma generated chemically active species into the flue gas. The active compounds react with the toxic compounds of the flue gas, neutralising them or converting them into compounds that are removable by scrubbing. In experiments, the NOx content of the exhaust from a natural gas driven engine was reduced by 95%.
