TIAM Denmark

TIMES Integrated Assessment Model (TIAM) is developed under IEA’s implementing agreement Energy Technology and System Analysis Program (ETSAP) in which Risoe DTU represents Denmark. The focus of the work will be on handling fluctuating energy sources like wind, sun and wave energy in a Danish version of this global energy system optimization model. A climate module will be developed describing climate changes in the form of change in temperature, precipitation and wind based on the change in concentration of climate gasses in the atmosphere. The project will start in July 2009.
