SOLID-DER: Coordination Action to Consolidate RTD Activities for Large-Scale Integration of DER into the European Electricity Market

The objective is to launch, co-ordinate and promote activities aimed to consolidate all European RTD activities for the large-scale integration of DER in the electricity market.
Completed

The integration of DER in the European electricity networks has become a key issue for energy producers, network operators, policy makers and the R&D community. In some countries it created already a number of challenges for the stability of the electricity supply system, thereby creating new barriers for further expansion of the share of DER in supply.

The consortium consists of 17 partners representing 12 European countries from both research and industry. The project is supported by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programme.

The project was finished in 2008.
