The main objective of NESTLAC was to promote and facilitate the implementation of sustainable transport solutions in Latin America and the Caribbean
In its second phase, NESTLAC assisted Guatemala City in the implementation of a second corridor for the Bus Rapid Transit system, Panama City in restructuring the public transport sector, and Concepcion (Chile) in promoting the massive use of bicycles.
