The project aims at promoting the use of bioresources for energy use in Region Zealand assessing business potential of various suggested projects as well as facilitating actual bioenergy initiatives
While mapping bioresources available and couple this knowledge to existing biomass conversion technologies a ‘Knowledge Society’ can be build to secure adequate supply of skills & inventiveness. Participants: The project is coordinated by Roskilde University (associate professor Tyge Kjær, tk@ruc.dk, Tel: +45 2682 3067) and involves Green Center - a research and development Center within the agriculture and the food industry attached to Region Zealand County district and Risø DTU. Role: Risø DTU contributes with competences about sustainable use of biomass resources from the cultivated land and bioenergy conversion technologies. Resources: Vækstforum Sjælland (www.vfsj.dk) is funding the project. Duration: The project runs from June 2007 - December 2009 Employees involved: Henrik Hauggaard-Nielsen (biomass resources and conversion technologies)
