Green Vision organizes panel debate on future energy technologies

Panel debate organized by Green Vision 15 October 2009, 17.30, room S1 (101), DTU Lyngby Chairman Martin Vigild, Dean of studies, DTU Panelists Bertel Haarder, Minister for Education, V Per Falholt, Novozymes Hans Hvidtfelt Larsen, Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy Niels Olesen, Vestas Leo Jensen, Dong Energy Program 17.30 : Opening speech by Bertel Haarder and presentation of businesses. 17.45: THEME 1: Energy technology in 20 years. Where will we see most progress, according to the companies? Should research come from companies or from science? Can research become integrated in upper secondary schools? THEME 2: The need for education. New specialists? New educational methods? More management education? 18.30-18.45: The discussion ends. 18.45-19.00: The press may ask questions and get interviews. 19.00: Dinner in DTU’s canteen.

The Danish Minister for Education Bertel Haarder is going to participate in the panel debate along with representatives from leading companies in the energy sector.

45 secondary school students, who participate in the Green Vision Camp 2009 this week, will ask questions about the situation for energy technologies 20 years from now and about the need for education in this respect.
