The development of competitive energy and climate solutions is now speeded up by a large-scale innovation programme from the Technical University of Denmark. It is essential to develop new technology if the upward trend in global CO2 emissions is to be broken within a period of 15 years. All responsible players have to act. Therefore DTU wants to gather specialists from the research world, the business community and a number of authorities within the next two years. Together they are going to select and develop the best technical solutions in order to reduce CO2 emissions.
As part of a major climate effort DTU is launching workshops on climate and energy technologies that are to be developed and used soon. Focus will be on climate and energy technologies that can reduce CO2 emissions and on technologies and processes that ensure production and welfare during changed climatic conditions.
There will be nine workshops, two conferences for scientists and a high level conference. The first takes place in June 2008, the final high level conference will be held in September 2009. To see the programme and an overview of workshops and conferences go to www.dtu.dk/klima.
