Energi Industrien and Risø DTU are holding an energy conference Thursday 1 November 2007. At the conference Risø Energy Report 6 will be presented.
The report carries the title ”Future options for energy technologies”. See the programme for the energy conference here. Final date for registration is 25 October.
In Europe we are facing two major energy challenges. The first is sustainability as EU’s CO2 emissions will rise if we don’t act now. The second challenge is security of supply as Europe is becoming more dependent on imported fuels. The Council of the European Union recently agreed that Europe should develop a sustainable and integrated climate and energy policy.
In the spring the Danish government put forward the document "A Visionary Danish Energy Policy for the period up to 2025" aiming to stabilize energy consumption and increase the use of renewable energy.
At the conference Risø Energy Report 6 will be presented. It carries the title ”Future options for energy technologies”. There will be speeches by companies and investors in the energy sector. At the end of the day there will be a panel debate with members from the Danish Parliament’s Energy Policy Committee and representatives from the business community, research and venture capital.
