Now PhD students interested in biomedical optics get the opportunity again of meeting the world’s best scientists within this field. The graduate summer school Biophotonics '07 takes place 9-16 June 2007 at Ven. Every second year since 2003, talented students from all over the world have been meeting top scientists within the field of biomedical optics at a summer school on the small Swedish island, Ven, in the Sound. The scientists offer lectures and also classes.
The two respected American scientists Eva M. Sevick-Muraca from Baylor College of Medicine and Brian W. Pogue from Dartmouth Medical School are going to teach this year focusing especially on the topics molecular imaging and optical tomography.
The list of teachers at the summer school consists of the best within the field of optics for medical purposes. http://www.biop.dk/biophotonics07/School/School.asp?page=main_school_speakers
The event is sponsored by Danish, Swedish, German and American companies and institutions dealing with optics. http://www.biop.dk/biophotonics07/School/School.asp?page=main_school_speakers
