Wind Power Day 2010: Offshore

Danish Research Consortium for Wind Energy

The Wind Power Day from the Danish Research Consortium for Wind Energy is an annual event, where the consortium presents a selection of the latest results from Danish research institutions within wind energy. Participation in the Wind Power Day will give you an updated insight in the expertise of Danish research institutions, activities within wind energy and the latest results from their research. This year the theme is offshore.

The consortium is cooperation between the Technical University of Denmark (Risø DTU, DTU MEK, DTU Elektro and DTU IMM), Aalborg University and DHI.

The target group for the Wind Power Day is our contacts from our daily work and others with interest in wind energy.

After an introductory presentation of new initiatives in the Danish Research Consortium for Wind Energy and a presentation of the new initiative Lindø Offshore Renewable Centre, lectures will be given the rest of the day from the consortium within offshore wind energy. Because the Wind Power Day is a Danish event the main language will be Danish, but a few presentations will be in English. However, the slides will in general be in English.

At the end of the day, the two new professors, Erik Lundtang Petersen and Niels N. Sørensen, will be presented and they will give lecturers in their respective fields. After this, a reception will be held for the two professors.
